Admira

Founded in Spain in 1944 in Zarautz in the Spanish Basque Country by German born Enrique Keller, who combined German manufacturing know-how with the tradition of Spanish lutherie. Admira is still a family business.

Alhambra Guitars

Alhambra were established in 1965 by a group of young guitar enthusiasts / entrepreneurs, set up a business venture to build affordable, high quality artisan guitars. Prior to 1965 they had been operating under the name of ‘Manufacturas Hachi’. Alhambra use the finest woods available to them from source for their guitars, such as cedar, spruce, rosewood, ebony, and cypress to ensure the highest quality. Alhambra have a reputation for high quality, fine woods, good sound and value. Today, Alhambra are one of the main builders of Spanish guitars. Alhambra also build lutes and bandurrias. Alhambra Guitars head office is still located in the town in which the company was first set up, Muro de Alcoy, Spain.

A. Dotras Cordoba

Antonio Dotras Cordoba were Spanish guitar makers based in Barcelona. Their workshop was in operation in 1920 in calle San Pablo, 5, Barcelona. In 1957-58 at calle San Pablo, 28, Barcelona. In 1963 they were joined by Vicente Carrillo Cantos and his wife who worked with Dotras in calle Ancha, Barcelona. Ricardo Sanchis Carpio and Vicente Carillo, both high end guitar builders, also made guitars under this label. A. Dotras Cordoba guitars ranged from student to master grade versions.

Augustin Gaspar Cebrian

Valencia based Spanish makers of guitars, bandurrios and lutes. Guitars from 1950s and 60s. Gold medal references to as far back as 1908. Label: “Dos Medallas de Oro en la Exposición Regional Valenciana y en la Nacional de Valencia por sus instrumentos de cuerda”

Hijos de Vicente Tatay

Vicente Tatay retired in 1942, and the company was taken over by his sons José and Vicente Tatay Tomás who made guitars under the brand Hijos de Vicente Tatay.

José Más Y Más

José Más Y Más were a Spanish company making of guitars, lutes and small Spanish guitars called requinos, made for studio, concerts and Flamenco. José Más Y Más were based in Valencia.

Vicente Sanchis Guitars

Vicente Sanchis Guitars are made in Masanasa, near Valencia in Spain. There are about thirty models in their line of Spanish guitars including classicals, flamencos, requintos and salon-size instruments. The guitars range from production models with laminated backs to signed master luthier models made of solid, exotic woods.

Vincente Tatay

Vicente Tatay was a guitar maker in Valencia establishing his workshop in 1889. Like most workshops at the time, it was a father teaching and supervising his sons who would one day take over the family business. The business grew quickly and the business grew to meet demand to the extent where their workshop became a factory producing over 40,000 instruments a year. Vicente Tatay retired in 1942, and the business was taken over by his sons José and Vicente Tatay Tomás who rebranded as Hijos de Vicente Tatay.
