The Pioneer CLD-150K is the first LaserDisc player and quite a rare item today. The player is a dual NTSC/PAL karaoke player, which can play CD, CDV and LD. On LaserDiscs both analog and digital audio are supported. The karaoke features can be disabled via a switch on the front, leaving the player as a normal single sided LD player.
On the back are 2 SCARTs (out/thru), 1 set Composite+Audio RCA out, 1 set Audio RCA in (aux), Pioneer SR in/out, and a switch marked Att which lowers the sound output levels when on.
Remote included CU-CLD106 marked LaserDisc.
The LaserDisc (LD) is a home video format and the first commercial optical disc storage medium, initially licensed, sold and marketed as MCA DiscoVision in the United States in 1978. Its diameter typically spans 30 cm (12 in). Unlike most optical-disc standards, LaserDisc is not fully digital, and instead requires the use of analog video signals.
